My grandparents, along with my father and his sister, temporarily moved into this house when a bomb blew out the windows of their own property, no. 24, during an air raid in WW2. One bomb landed directly in the street, but failed to explode. Had it done so, neither my grandmother, my father or my aunt would have survived.
